WelcomeWhistler Friends (Community Health and Welfare Society) is a non profit society dedicated to producing events that inspire while raising funds and awareness for two very important causes; Crohn's and Colitis Canada (CCC) and the BC Children's Hospital Foundation. Founded by Whistler Residents Dave and Wendy Clark, Whistler Friends has been holding fundraising events in Whistler since 2002.
Since our inception, Whistler Friends has raised over $695,000 in support of CCC and BC Children's Hospital Foundation through popular events such as the Whistler Half Marathon - presented by Smartwool, The BlueShore Financial Spirit of the Shore Half Marathon, Whistler Turkey Trot - presented by Smartwool, SWELL 1 and 2 (2009 and 2011), Balding for Dollars, the Canadian BBQ Championships, and Saddle Sores (2006).
